Memory leak detection tool

Hi there,

I was just wondering if any tool like Purify (by Rational Software) exists
and is available under Linux systems, to help detect memory leaks.

If you are looking for something commercial Insure++ does the job quite well
(much more than you looking for actually). Take a pick at www.parasoft.com.

I have used njamd, it helped me on locating some memory leak problems and
more importantly, on a memory overwritten bug.

I forget the site address, but a quick google search should give
you the site.

Electric Fence doesn't detect memory leaks, only heap corruption.  Try out
mpatrol,
which works on Linux, is free software and has a lot of options which allow
it to
detect memory leaks and heap corruption.  It is located at:

http://www.cbmamiga.demon.co.uk/mpatrol/

Alternatively, there's a huge list of related software at:

http://www.cbmamiga.demon.co.uk/mpatrol/mpatrol_83.html

1. Memory leak detection tool

Hi,

I'm looking for the software error detection, memory leak and testing software

that is similar to Rational Software's Purify tool...I need this tool to run

on the Linux platform.

Thanks,
