I got this when the compilation enters the final state (compiling the zImage)

as86 -0 -a -o bootsect.o bootsect.s
make[1]: as86: Command not found
make[1]: *** [bootsect.o] Error 127
make[1]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-2.0/arch/i386/boot'
make: *** [zImage] Error 2

Please e-mail (don't post).

Your help is greatly appreciated.

1. <><><> MOUNTING EXTENDED PARTITION <><><>

I have a 10 GB UDMA IDE drive formatted with Windows.  The first partition
is FAT32, and the second is NTFS.  I can successfully mount the first, but
not the second.  Any ideas?

Suse 7.2 on i86
the drive is mounted on /dev/hdc, and I CAN see hda1, but not hda2
