kernel: TCP: **bug**: copy=0, sk->mss=0

I keep on getting this messages in the logs of my web server (SMP
2*PPro-200, 256 Mb RAM, 1.2 IDE HD, 4 GB SCSI HD).

Only weirdness in this server is that swap is a little tight for the
physical memory.

I'm running 2.0.27, but there is no change in this code up to 2.0.30.

Can someone explain me what's going on there ?

To reply, remove the "noospammm" from the "From:" line.

I don't know what it means, but I've gotten that exact error once
before. And there are no problems with swap on my system.

1. TCP: **bug**: copy=0, sk->mss=0

My syslog file is showing about a dozen of the above lines per day.  Any
suggestions on what this is or how to fix it.  I am running kernel 2.0.10
with an AMD Lance or PCnet card (lance32.c).  This problem has been
happening since at least kernel 2.0.7 when the web site on the machine
started getting a lot more hits.  Here's an exerpt of those error messages
from my log:

Aug  1 22:27:39 freya kernel: TCP: **bug**: copy=0, sk->mss=0
Aug  2 00:46:06 freya kernel: Lost timer or fin packet in tcp_fin.CP: **bug**: copy=0, sk->mss=0
Aug  2 05:15:47 freya kernel: TCP: **bug**: copy=0, sk->mss=0

I'm also not sure about the middle line above, my logs go through what
looked like a reboot sequence, but the system wasn't rebooted at that time
and uptime shows the system up since the last time i cycled it myself.
