1. 2.4.19 kernel, SB Audigy, HPT372 raid device -- supported ?

anyone know if the new 2.4.19 kernel will support the HPT372 raid controller natively ?  There are drivers for this device
on the Highpoint raid site but its well beyond my ability to install and it sounds as if its meant to be used as a primary
linux boot drive, not a secondary data drive (raid span array).
