Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know if DCE 1.0 or 1.1 have been ported to Linux? If so
where can I get a copy? Thanks in advance.

The big problems with this effort are the threads-
they don't coexist well with recent libc libs and recent kernels.
(In fact- be careful when doing a make install on this package
because it will overwrite the pthread header files shipped with
the libc) There is also the question of standardization- right
now linux seems to be converging on MIT Pthreads in the libc (User
space) and kernel LinuxThreads (kernel space)- so I am hesitant
about installing yet another thread library.
I am still looking for other efforts- it seems such a shame that
I have to run all my DCE stuff on OS2 when I have a powerful linux
development system idleing beside it....
If you find any other available software please post or email...
thanks,
-bill
