sb16 troubles!

The sound driver 3.5alpha3 seems to work fine,
but when I play some *.wav file which is 44.1kHz, Stereo
recorded, it seems to drive me crazy:  I heard the beast crying!
Abnormal playing speed happens on 44.1kHz *.wav?

1. sb16 pnp troubles

Hello,

I have a strange problem with my sb16, It's installed
identified and the kernel modules for it seem to be loaded.

The card is obviously not working.

The strange thing is that /proc/sound shows that the
card has been identified, it shows the audio device,
synth services, midi device and the rest. but the installed
drivers and card config are empty.

I'm using kernel 2.2.14 and the drivers are in modules.
I can hear samples (sometimes) by using sndconfig, and
the isapnp identifies the sound card on bootup.

Any hint on what to do or check, will be of great help.

Baruch
