umsdos bug in 2.1.124?

Post by Jan Andre » Sun, 29 Nov 1998 04:00:00

When compiling the umsdos filesystem into the kernel, the symbol
`umsdos_dentry_operations' is unresolved at linking time.

When I select it as a module, then it can be compiled, but it
won't work afterwards. The permissions of all files, except for
the first one in each directory, are always 0600, and can't be
changed in any way.

Yes, I did include fat and msdos filesystems in the kernel, and
I did umssync the dirs before using them.

Is this a bug? Or am I just missing something (it worked this way
with 2.0.35)?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is a bug. 2.1.127 should have it fixed, and next release after
2.1.130 should have some more bugs fixes (pseudo-root related ones).
Please read fs/umsdos/README-WIP.txt for more information.

1. Maxiswitch 124 Key Programmable Keyboard

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone is using the Maxiswitch 124 key programmable
keyboard.  Can anyone advise whether or not it is possible to program the
SHIFT key to act as CONTROL? (and vice-versa)  Of the calls I've made to
vendors that sell this keyboard, they report conflicting opinions.

What I'd like to do is program this keyboard to look like a traditional
unix keyboard with the control key to the left of the letter "a".  Ideally,
I'd like a solution that would work with any operating system, including
linux/dos/win3.1/win95.  (It does not bother me to have the keys themselves
physically labeled otherwise -- as long as the function can be modified)

Can anyone recommend a good keyboard that can be configured this way?

Thanks in advance,

Todd Chauvin
