Mgetty is not known for any such problems, so there has to be
something else that is wrong with your system. This is just a wild
guess, but "/dev/zero" needs to be opened when loading ELF
binaries. This might mean, that your copy of "/lib/ld-linux.so.1" is
defective. Make sure, that you have a recent release of "ld-linux" and
double-check permissions and symbolic links; you might have to use a
rescue disk to do this ("yard" is an execellent tool for building
rescue disks!). Another helpful tool is "ldd", when applied to an
executable, it will tell you if all libraries/symbols could be
resolved (for the latter, you need to pass the option "-r").
