About the Author:
Timothy L. Butler, Esq. is an attorney practicing law in Santa Fe New
Mexico since 1983. He has worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a
Program Manager overseeing computer related projects. He is an
experienced computer programmer and has received specialized training in
expert systems, database and artificial intelligence technologies. He has
co-authored and taught PC-Expert Systems courses at LANL. A graduate of
the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, he is an
Adjunct Professor at the University of New Mexico Law School, teaching
courses in computer, technology and intellectual property law. He has an
active practice in computer and technology-related law, focusing on
intellectual property, technology development & licensing, and related
