1. kswapd zombie?

I've been having a few problems with the box lately.  In the midst of various
experiments to try and determine the problem I have noticed something odd.
Are there any normal circumstances under which kswapd could become a zombie
process?  That doesn't sound good.  My problems have been with not being able
"to handle kernel paging request at" various virtual addresses.  Kswapd going
on vacation could definitely cause that, no?  Any ideas?

thanks, saadiq
