RH kernel 2.2.19-6.2.7, md_setup_drive, reference undefined

Post by Jim Ranki » Wed, 04 Jul 2001 11:50:06

When I attempt to build a custom version of the Red Hat kernel 2.2.19-6.2.7
in Red Hat 6.2, the compile aborts with

init/main.o(.data.init+0x13c): undefined reference to `md_setup'
drivers/block/block.a(genhd.o): In function `device_setup':
genhd.o(.text.init+0x13a): undefined reference to `md_setup_drive'
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1

Anybody know what's wrong?

1. Updating RPM's on mass on RHv6.2 (kernel 2.2.19-6.2.12)

What is the best way to update all my installed RPM's on and RH6.2
system ?

Seems to me the command to do this would be "rpmfind", but when i try  i
get the following error:

#rpmfind --upgrade *
"rpmfind: error in loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/librpm.so.0:
undefined symbol: ufdio"

Any suggestions????
