Activesync Filters

Activesync Filters

Post by Peter J. Negró » Fri, 23 Aug 2002 01:37:57

Greetings:

I'm having problems getting activesync to recognize the "filtering" settings
on my Windows 2000 PC at work.  Since I only want to synchronize my work
related items, I set activesync to synchronize only those items in selected
categories.  However when I sync, it ignores the "filtering" settings and
pulls all my personal items from my Cassiopeia E-125 into my Outlook 2000 at
work.  At home I'm synchronizing all my items with my Outlook XP without any
problems.  I've tried IntelliSync without much success (probably since it
relies on activesync).  Any advise?
Thanks!

The problem is that Activesync will synchronize any item that is on a Pocket
PC, regardless of what category it belongs to. Categories can only be used
to prevent items on the desktop PC from syncing down to the Pocket PC.

OK, So I have a question: is there any way to prevent personal information
from being transferred from the PDA to Outlook? I have been searching for
this answer for a while, and can't seem to find a way.

Thanks,
Jim

1. ActiveSync filter progress bar

Hi.

I designed my activesync file filter as explained at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-
us/wceactsy/htm/ceconConvertingFileFormats.asp
and it works.
I call ICeFileFilterSite::ReportProgress to show progress bar
but it remains empty.
How to make it work?

Regards
