mrtg/ucd-snmp and Linux

Post by Christopher Meiklejo » Fri, 13 Jul 2001 23:47:06

Hello,

I am using UCD-SNMP and MRTG to graph CPU utilization on a couple Solaris
and Linux servers.  I am graphing these values:

enterprises.ucdavis.systemStats.ssCpuUser.0 = 9
enterprises.ucdavis.systemStats.ssCpuSystem.0 = 4
enterprises.ucdavis.systemStats.ssCpuIdle.0 = 85

On the solaris servers, these values are graphing fine.. but on Linux,
these value do no change?

Anyone have any advice?

1. ucd-snmp & mrtg

I'm trying to install mrtg but I'm having problem with snmpd.  Without a
configuration file, snmpd runs but I get connection refused errors in
/var/log/snmpd.log.  I've used the example config that came with it as well
as other configs found through google.  snmpd fails to load.  Doesn someone
have a working config for ucd-snmp for RH 6.2 that they are willing to share
that works for mrtgs?

thanks,

Aaron
