libpcap and tcpdump

libpcap and tcpdump

Post by Paul Bob » Wed, 22 May 1996 04:00:00

Has anyone gotten libpcap to compile cleanly on sunos4.1.3?

If I use CC, pcap.h has a whole mess of syntax errors.

If I use GCC, then the library is created, but a ton of warnings are displayed.

I haven't even started on tcpdump yet..... but I gave it a quick try and
pcap has all those syntax errors again; gotta try gcc.

1. tcpdump-3.0.2 and libpcap-0.0.6

I recently downloaded tcpdump-3.0.2 and after reading the README found that
I needed to compile libpcap-0.0.6 first.  I also read the Linux is not
supported in the souce file I down loaded but it has recently
been ported to linux.  I was wondering if anyone knows were I can
find these patch files to compile these programs.
