kill and restart rpc.statd
1. rpc.statd error on sunos 4.1.3u1
Since cslab9 doesn't exist anymore, the NIS server's rpc.statd daemon cannot
find the portmapper on the client to update the file locks. It's usual when
you take machines out.
To inform statd to stop looking for cslab9, do the following :
kill rpc.statd
cd /etc/sm.bak
rm cslab9
restart rpc.statd
