Morning,

I have trying to install a FTP anonymous, but I have this following problem:

425 Can't create data socket (0.0.0.0,20): Bad file number.

When

Name (colmar.uha.fr:lorenz): anonymous
331 Guest login ok, send ident as password.
Password:
230 Guest login ok, access restrictions apply.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful.
425 Can't create data socket (0.0.0.0,20): Bad file number.
ftp>

Could you help me ??

I bet you are trying to setup anonymous FTP on a Solaris 2.4 box. I was
faced with this particular error last week when I installed wu-ftpd on a
Solaris 2.5 machine. I've forgot the /dev files which are needed under
Solaris inside ~ftp ! Have a look at the Solaris manpage "ftpd" - there is a
exact description of which files are needed!
