If this isn't what you wanted, you need to fix the DNS zone files for
alt.poppe.com to change the ordering of MX records.

1. MX list for foo.com.my.domain points back to my.domain?
I have a Linux box (canoe.xcski.com) running a fairly generic sendmail.cf that
is basically straight out of the box with some anti-spam rules stuck in. I
really don't know enough sendmail.cf to go messing with the file so I tend to
leave it alone. I run several majordomo mailing lists from that box. My
problem is that occassionally, mail to one or more people on the lists will
start bouncing with the message:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
(expanded from: :include:/home/majordomo/lists/allhats)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
554 MX list for xyzzy.neosoft.com.xcski.com. points back to xcski.com
Different domains and subdomains every time. Why does sendmail seem to have
problems doing the domain lookup? (At least I assume that's what the problem
Other times it still doesn't.
