Vacation program

Can anyone help with the following problem?

A user wants to use the vacation program to
let people know he is on holiday when they
send him e-mail. He has all the configuration
files setup OK. He is using the C Shell which
is causing sendmail (8.8.4) to generate a
message "user does not have a valid shell..".
When he changes to the tcsh the problem
disappears. He wants to keep using csh. Can
anyone offer any suggestions??

Is csh in /etc/shells?

Hope this helps,
Patrice.
