Solaris Accounting Files

Post by C. L » Tue, 22 Feb 1994 08:02:11

Hi all:

I am running Solaris 2.2 on Classic machines. My
problem is as follows. After I clear some of the
files under the /var/adm, (specifically, lastlog and wtmpx)
, I log out and when I login again, I found that the
original lastlog and wtmpx are still there. For some reason,
rm does not remove lastlog and wtmpx. I think I need to use
the accounting tools for this but I can't find it where.
If anyone has any pointers for this, I would be mostly
appreciated.

        Thanks in advance.
