rpc.statd still complaining !?

Post by heiner amthau » Tue, 21 Jan 1997 04:00:00

Hi again, folks !

System is: sun sparc2, SunOS 4.1.4

Recently, I added a HP 9000 to our network. After a few weeks I had to
remove it, again. Since then, rpc.statd keeps complaining about the
fact, that the it cannot talk to the NFS client. I have already removed
all entries, like in /etc/hosts, etc. But no effect. How can I convince
the sun, that the hp actually isn't any longer in the network ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Heiner

Didn't help :(

I found an entry in /etc/rmtab, but manpage says not to touch it. How can I
remove it ?
