and San Jose
Responsibilities:
3rd-Tier UNIX administrators are responsible for advanced
troubleshooting of
Solaris, Netscape, Apache, and other internet and UNIX products in a
very
dynamic and growing environment. Administrator will be responsible for
resolving complex problems, performing system performance
analysis, designing web-based multi-site solutions, and providing
guidance
to other administrators in 2nd and 3rd level.
Requirements:
Four or more years of UNIX System Administrator experience in the
following
areas:
Installing and modifying UNIX operating systems and kernels; UNIX
security
issues; Shell scripting(Bourne and Perl); local and wide area network
security issues and technology; understanding of Layer 2 (Ethernet) and
Layer 3 (IP) network
issues; Internet application expertise (Web Servers, Databases, FTP);
Strong
written, verbal communications and customer service skills; Excellent
troubleshooting and problem resolution skills required.
