queueing mail to /var/mail/'owner' in sendmail 8.9.3?

Hello. Am in the process of upgrading from 8.8.8 to 8.9.3 on Solaris.
Sendmail 8.8.8 had a ruleset 33 for RemoteMode. This, I believe, enabled
mail to be served from the mount point /var/mail. There is no 'RemoteMode'
in 8.9.3 and I cannot get mail to queue up in /var/mail/'owner'.
How might I get mail to queue to a mount point in 8.9.3?
