Hello.

Sorry to disturb you but I wondered if anyone would be interested in
this vacancy........

Abraxas plc are a London based recruitment agency. We are currently
searching for good UNIX sys administrators for a financial institution
in Central London. Experience of Sun/solaris and ideally Disksuite etc
gained in a large machine environment.

Great chance to learn all about financial futures industry - this
company train all of the traders in the City and you'll get the same
training.

Salary 35-40K perm, + bens package (free rail travel, 12.5% pension
etc, 27 days holiday, gym etc). This person will also be a key
contributor to the desing and specification of the IT server
infrastructure and must be able to manage projects.

A post has arisen in the UNIX systems programming team.
This post is a part-time one year contract working 20 hours per week.

The team provides technical support for the UNIX operating system and
third party software on an academic network of SUN systems and a
smaller number of Silicon Graphics machines.

As well as the Academic systems the team also supports systems providing
networking services such as DNS and Usenet News.

At least two years successful work experience of systems programming
in a UNIX environment must be demonstrated.  A degree level
qualification, proven analytical skills, knowledge of programming
languages and experience of project management activities is required.
Good oral and written skills are essential as is the ability to work
in a team.
