Hello networld,
I seem to be having trouble with cu & uucp, and I am hoping some of you unix
guru's out there can help me out. The trouble is that when I use a system
name, such as:
$cu curly
The expect-send sequence to login by does'nt get done. The correct phone
number gets dialed so I know it's finding the right system name, but as soon
as the connection is established nothing more gets done, and I have to enter
the login sequence myself.
# /etc/uucp/Devices file -- This seems to work fine.
ACU tty01,M - 2400 hayes
ACU tty01,M - 1200 hayes
# /etc/uucp/Dialers file -- This script sequence gets executed flawlessly.
hayes =,-, "" \M\dATZ\r\c OK\r \EATDT\T\r\c CONNECT \m\c
# /etc/uucp/Systems file -- Does eveything except the Login???
curly Any ACU 2400 95327780 "" \r ation:-\r-ation: curly
The number given in the Systems file is to a dataswitch. As soon as it
recieves a newline it responds with "Select Destination:" and I can then
give the name of the target system. I don't think my problem is the
dataswitch since I tried calling some machines directly and still can't get
the login sequence to do anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.!! Thanks in advance.
