Advice on Netiquette needed.

: If I wanted to post contract positions for UNIX Systems Administrators,
: what newsgroup(s) would you suggest? Thank you for your help.

misc.jobs.offered, and ONLY that group.  DEFINATELY NOT this one.
Don't fall into the trap of thinking you will reach more people the
more groups you post to.  You just annoy more.

One other point you should consider; both this group and misc.jobs.* are
international in scope, and Distribution: headers are not really
effective these days. The regional hierarchies generally have their own
*.jobs groups; you probably want to post there instead.

(Job ads here are annoying at best, but ones that say things like
"Sysadmin wanted in NY, must be US citizen, no travel expenses paid"
and are posted to *the entire world* just plumb the depths of complete
stupidity. That's why groups such as ny.jobs and us.jobs.offered
exist; use them.)

Please excuse my error in this matter and do not look on it as a poor
