Hello all, I am intersted of learning more about Unix.  I would like you to
prompt me to books that will show me how does a unix administration set
works, from hardware to software and shell programming.  If you know any
GOOD books please tell me so. I am not novice at the Unix environment I
have been using it for 6 years now and I am thinking of getting Sun.
Thank you
Costis Theodorou

We're using "Essential System Administration" by AEleen Firsch from
O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. We have AIX & Solaris (sparc & x86) boxes
here and it has been a great help.

-Unix System V release 4 Administration (Fiedler & Hunter) published by Haydn -
ISBN 0-672-22810-6 is good. At 436 pages it is readable and contains enough
condensed technical info to get you going. As the title says it focuses on sys
admin tasks rather than teaching you how to use a Unix desktop.
