STATD cannot talk to STATD at atech8 ????

Post by H. Todd Chapm » Fri, 20 Oct 1995 04:00:00

Why do I keep getting this message?
I am not trying to do any NFS stuff with atech8. Atech8
is not even on the same network anymore. Why would
my machine want to talk to atech8? No NFS or NIS stuff,
no weird cron jobs.

What the heck am I missing?

I am running Ultrix 4.2.

Thanks.

1. NFS/statd Error: rpc.statd: 1831-115 cannot talk to statd at tps.tenetphy.com

On our console we get this error: rpc.statd:  1831-115 cannot talk to
statd at tps.domain.com

Now I checked the man pages and it says this is related to NFS which
we do use on specific boxes.  Any ideas on what this is and how I can
fix it?
Thanks
Cliff
