I set a computer up to be a remote line printer daemon.
I tested to see if it would print to a physically attached printer
remotely from Unix. It worked.
I then logged the computer onto novell as a user and then captured the
printer port with printcap to a novell printer.
Voila a Unix to Novell gateway.
I am switching to a dedicted print servers though. I've decided on
Digitals Products Inc's Netprint Devices.
The computers get bumped of novell too often to deal with for me.
1. Printing from unix to printer queue in Novell Network
I am trying to print from SUN OS 5.5.1 to a printer Queue on Novell. I
have configured the UNIX box to print to the Queue, but it does not work.
What, if any setups have to be done on the Novell side?
On the UNIX side I used 'lpadmin -p local-name -s
novell-system!remote-queue
