Hi Evgeny,

as far as I remember under Solaris you cannot set a custom welcome
message
for ftp... you have to use e.g. wuftp (there was a document on SunSolve
CD
about this, but I can't find it now).

To set the banner, add a line of the form

     BANNER="..."

 to /etc/default/ftpd.

It seems, like this doesnt work in Digital Unix , any ideas ?
