Hello all...

Version 0.98 of Big Brother, the Web-based Unix and Network monitor
is available for downloading at http://www.iti.qc.ca/iti/users/sean/

*** Lynx is no longer required by Big Brother to do Web testing! ***

Lynx has been replaced by a program called bbnet.  You can use bbnet to
check any port on any machine.  It understands http requests, but can
also be used to check other servers on other ports.  bbnet is anywhere
from 4 to 10 times faster than testing with lynx.

So those of you who have an older copy, and never bothered to get lynx
to check out your web servers have no excuse not to monitor them now!

Big Brother monitors multiple Unix systems, network connectivity, disk
space, processes, etc, and can page you if something horrible happens.

All popular versions of Unix are supported.  Source code is included.  
Please send me any changes, especially to bbnet.c.
