openings in the following IT positions:

1. Technical Analyst (Ref. TA/EGP/98)

Candidate must have a sound overall knowledge of current technologies
(RDMS products, Operating Systems, Client/Server, thin clients, etc.).
Candidate will act as an advisor on such issues.  Excellent communication
and writing skills are a must.  Should have initiative to track the
direction of the IT industry and make recommendations to help the
Organization adapt to the changes.  Background in a Technical position
(Networking, system/database administration and software development) is
highly desirable.

2. Business Analyst (Ref. BA/EGP/98)

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 8 years experience in a
large industrial/commercial organization as a business analyst.  Must
possess good knowledge of business analysis methodologies and business
administration.  Should be capable of preparing concise requirement
specifications.  Moreover, a broad understanding of organization from a
business perspective is essential together with knowledge of  management,
operations or systems environment of business sectors.  As a decisive and
analytical team player, shall provide business solutions to schedule.  In
addition to superb interpersonal skills, must need to have excellent
written and oral presentation skills and communicate effectively.

3. System Network Officer (Ref. SNO/EGP/98)

Graduate in Computer Science or equivalent with 5 years experience in
Data Centre Management, networking, UNIX, preferably HP-UX and DEC OSF1,
Data Centre Security and Disaster Recovery, HP & DEC hardware.

4. Computer Systems Analyst (Ref. CSA/EGP/98)

Working as part of multi discipline IT team, should be responsible for
carrying out feasibility studies, generating system design specifications,
program specifications and other analysis work relating to the software
development life cycle.  Moreover, have experience in using CASE tools such
as Designer 2000/ER Win, etc. extensively and have very good ERD,  DFD
modeling skills and knowledge of RDBM concepts.  A team player and customer
focused, must ideally possess knowledge of systems that deal with service
provisioning, billing and customer care in a large organization.

5. System Administrator (Ref. SYA/EGP/98)

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years
experience in relational/object database management systems.  Should have a
sound knowledge of UNIX and NT.  Experience in performance monitoring,
software installation and trouble shooting and configuration management
is desired.

6. Security Administrator (Ref. SEA/EGP/98)

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years
experience
in areas of security management and tools.  Must have a broad understanding
of
implementing corporate wide security policies : User access, O/S (UNIX &
NT),
networks, data security and management, firewalls, etc.

7. Project Coordinator (Ref. PCO/EGP/98)

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years
experience
in IT related project management activities.  Must possess a good knowledge
in
understanding of users requirements and converting such requirements into
functional requirement.  In addition, experience in preparing tender
specifications and coordinating with vendors to obtain design solutions is
required.  Be able to co-ordinate with users and various development teams.
Must possess efficient reporting techniques and presentation skills.

8. Computer Programmer (Ref. CP/EGP/98)

Graduate in Computer Science or related discipline with minimum  of  4 years
experience in developing business applications using RDBMS and SQL
(preferably
INGRES).  The incumbent is expected to be familiar with software development
life cycle and shall possess skill in Application design, preparing program
specifications, coding/documentation and testing.  A thorough knowledge of
4 GL and C languages is essential.  Shall have the ability to use Case tools
and standard structured design methodologies.  Experience in developing GUI
based front-end systems would be an advantage.

9. Quality Assurance Supervisor (Ref. QAS/EGP/98)

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years
experience.
Must possess knowledge in defining quality standards and guidelines and has
been
part of QA team that addressed compliance testing of various stages of a
software
development project.  Knowledge in software test automation, configuration,
management tools would be an advantage.  Be able to conduct quality audits
and
prepare report to QA management.

10. Manager IT Research & Planning

Should have a degree related to IT and 15 years of experience in various
aspects
of IT, preferably related to telecommunications.  Experience in a research
environment will be given preference.  Should have experience in software
development and process design.  Should have worked at the corporate level
in at
lease one large corporation.  Excellent written and verbal communication
skills
are a must.  Shall be responsible for the implementation of a corporate-wide
project methodology, design and update of the corporate information model
and the
process model, supervision of process design of individual systems, analysis
and
improvement of existing procedures and systems, analysis and selection of
off-the-shelf software, establishment and maintenance of a departmental
intranet,
supervising the provision of technical help in the IT area, procurement of
IT
equipment and services for use corporate-wide and the management of
departmental budget.

11. Manager IT Development & Maintenance

Should have a degree related to IT and 15 years of  experience in software
development, preferably related to telecommunications and under the UNIX and
NT environment.  Should be very familiar with the software development life
cycle and have worked using at least one of the standard methodologies and
CASE
tools.  Experience with standard packages like SAP, BAAN and Oracle shall
bear
preference.  Shall be responsible for the supervision of the creation of
functional specifications, detailed design specifications, documentation
training
and implementation related to software.  Shall also be responsible for
supervising
the maintenance of software.

12. Manager IT Operations

Should have a degree related to IT and 15 years of experience in the
operation of large UNIX and
NT computer systems, preferably related to telecommunications.  Should have
good
communication skills.  Shall be responsible for establishing and maintaining
corporate databases,
configuring and implementing all aspects of  IT security, management of
hardware systems and
their Operations and maintenance corporate wide, create and manage a
corporate IT help desk, and
manage system configuration, expansion and upgrade projects.

13. Manager IT Quality

Should have a degree related to IT and 10 years of experience in the
implementation of quality in
IT systems.  Should be familiar with UNIX, NT, currently popular DBMSs, at
least one software
development methodology and one CASE tool.  Shall be responsible for
defining IT quality
standards and designing procedures for implementing them, helping in the
creation of software
documentation, ensuring the quality  of documentation produced, conducting
tests for software
approval, maintaining  software and document archives and configuration
management of
software.

14. Senior Systems & Security Administrator

Should have a degree related to IT and 10 years of experience in system
management.  Hands on
experience on UNIX and NT is a must.  Shall be responsible for monitoring
performance of
systems and take measures to keep it at acceptable levels.  Shall do
configuration management and
resource management and be responsible for the maintenance of all hardware.
Shall devise and
implement detailed plans for ensuring security of  IT systems.

15. Process Design Specialist

Should have a degree related to IT and 8 years of experience in process
design.  Shall be
responsible for the design and documentation of corporate and system
processes using appropriate
tools and in consultation with the users.  Should have a pleasant
personality and good
communication skills.  Shall be responsible for keeping process design
documentation updated.

16. Budgeting and Procurement Officer

Should have a degree in business or commerce and 8 years of experience in
creating and managing
budgets of , preferably IT, departments.  Experience in dealing with
hardware vendors shall be an
advantage.  Shall be responsible for preparing and managing departmental
budget and interfacing
with vendors for the procurement of equipment and services.  Shall be
responsible also for the
preparation of RFPs and interfacing with appropriate quarters within the
company.

17. Standardization & Documentation Specialist

Should have a degree related to IT and 8 years of experience in software
development and quality
assurance.  Direct experience in creation of software standards and their
implementation shall be a
big advantage.  Shall be responsible for keep updated on worldwide
developments on IT standards
and adopting them for implementation.  Shall develop standards for use in
the company and
design/procure and implement tools for implementing these standards.  Shall
help in the creation
of  software documentation  and ensure the quality of documents created.
Shall maintain
document archives.

18. Network Administrator

Should have a degree related to IT and 8 years of experience in network
design, implementation
and management.  Should be familiar with the latest in network technologies.
Shall be responsible
for the design and management of networks to satisfy the Corporate IT
requirements.  Shall
develop/procure and implement tools for network management.

19. IT Coordinator

Should have a degree related to IT and 5 years of experience in managing IT
installations.  Shall
be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals to satisfy the daily
needs of a group of
users.  This group shall act as the first line of support for applications,
hardware and network.  The
incumbent should have good interpersonal skills and a pleasant personality.
Experience in
managing a help desk shall be a plus.

20. Lead Programmer

Graduate in Computer Science with a minimum of 6 years experience in
programming using a
variety of languages and platforms.  Must have a proven expertise in UNIX
and NT.  Should have
experience in CASE tools.  A thorough knowledge of Client Server and
Internet development
tools and C language.

21. Analyst/Programmer

Graduate in Computer Science or related discipline with minimum of 4 years
experience in
developing business applications using RDBMS and SQL.  The incumbent is
expected to be
familiar with software development life cycle and shall possess skills in
Application design,
preparing program specifications, coding/documentation and testing.  A
thorough knowledge of
Client Server development tools and knowledge of C language is an added
benefit.  Shall have the
ability to use case tools and standard structured design methodologies.

1. It`s IMPORTANT!!!

Muy buenas!!!,
Le escribo ya que tengo algunos problemas y dudas acerca de linux.
Espero que tu/Usted me pueda hechar una mano, ya que poco a poco me
estoy desesperando... He escrito muchsimos emilios a los diferentes
grupos de noticias, pero nadie me puede ayudar...:
Desde principios del verano del 97, llevo utilizando la versin de
S.u.S.E. Linux 5.2 (Krnl: 2.0.33, Xfree:3.3.2, con la version beta del
KDE.) Es la versin alemana que incluye 4 CD`s...
Mis dudas son:
1. ?Linux es compatible con mi procesador K6-2 a 350Mhz? Supongo que si,
ya que funciona,,, pero he odo algo por lo del cach de segundo
nivl...He odo que hace falta un patch para Linux que haga que Linux
utilice el cach de segundo nivel...?Es verdad?
2.En mi otro ordenador (un Pentium 133 con tarjeta grfica S3 Virge) he
conseguido hacer que funcione todo perfectamente. Todo, incluido el
entorno grfico...
Pero en mi nuevo ordenador (un K6-2/350 en placa ASUS P5A con tarjeta
grfica Trident 3DImge975 de 4 Mb) no consigo configurar el entorno
grfico. Cuando intento configurar la tarjeta grfica, con el programa
incluido en mi versin S.u.S.E. "YaST" o bien con el programa estndar,
me sale una ventana peque?a (ms o menos de 4cm de alto y tan ancha como
la pantalla) con mil lineas movindose de desordenadamente... Levemente
se v, que es el entorno grfico de "FVWM2"...pero en ese estado no se
puede hacer nada de nada...Me paso a la consola desde la cual he
ejecutado "startx" y presiono Ctrl&C...Desde la primera consola al
parecer no aparecen errores y parece estar todo bien...He probado mil
configuraciones diferentes de resolucin y colores pero nada,
tampoco...Mi targeta (Trident 3d Imge 975) est en la base de datos de
las targetas soportadas, pero aun as no la reconoce bien. En la caja de
versin de Linux pone que mi targeta est soportada, y ms alante pone
que estn soportadas experimentalmente y adems sin aceleracin... Esto
ltimo (que est en modo experimental) lo acabo de ver ahora y no me lo
imaginaba... <---puede ser que mi problema sea por los drivers??? A ver
si ahora me conecto, mando este mensaje y busco el driver
acutalizado...   Ahora que he visto que los drivers, para mi tarjeta
grfica, que incluye mi versin de Linux son experimentales me parece un
poco estpida haberte hecho esta pregunta... pero an as gracias por
leerla...
3. Por ltimo,: ?Sabes de algn programa para entrar en Internet por
RED? Para que desde el Pentium pueda entrar en internet con el K6. Tipo
"Internet-Share"....      Muchas gracias en adelanto, Daniel     --->
