Can I alise to another web machine in apache web server

Post by Evelyn Che » Fri, 22 Jan 1999 04:00:00

As normal, it's:

       Alias /icons/ "/export/source/icons/"
                     (on www.one.com)
Now, I want to :
       Alias /icons/ "http://www.another.com/export/source/icons/"

Is it possible?

Web server: Apache 1.3.3
platform: Sun Solaris
configure file: apache/etc/srm.conf

Thanks!

Dayu

Yes, use Redirect instead of Alias.

Try RedirectMatch /icons/(.*) permanent
http://www.another.com/export/source/icons/$1
