I have it working fine...I think, no errors, so I assume it's working.

Check out http://reslife.tamu.edu/perl/

You should find _exactly_ what you're looking for.

Getting MOD_Perl to work in windows/nt

I hate to ask this, but is there a kind soul who has managed to get apache 1.3
working with MOD_Perl for win32?  I am having a devil of a time.  Whenever
apache fires up (with the pre-compiled version of mod_perl) it gpfs and then
dies.  I am using the most recent port of the MOD_Perl.  Basically, I am
hoping that someone could zip it up and send the "working" apache
configuration (I would also be willing to do it myself, but hey, isn't that
what email and cool things like FTp are for?).  If anyone wants to email it
(under 3mb) you can do it to this reply account.  If not a complete working
version, just how you got it to work with URLS on how to get the necessary
pieces working together.  it calls for perl5.04_04, but all that there is is
5_04_02 (the zarwhatever port) and I don't have a c compiler to make my
own...

any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. getting mod_perl to work properly

I'm a linux newbie, and am trying to get mod_perl and Apache 1.3.9 to
work together properly.  I've compiled mod_perl into Apache
successfully (I had to comment out all of the "LoadModule" and "Add
Module" lines in the httpd.conf file to get it to run, however),
but .pl files don't seem to be being served or processed properly.  I
can read all the files successfully, but when I try to access a .pl
file, the server sends it as a text file instead of executing it.

I've also added the following lines to access.conf:

Alias /perl/ /home/httpd/[to the directory]/
<Location /perl>
 SetHandler perl-script
 PerlHandler Apache::Registry
 Options +ExecCGI
 </Location>

I've also been unable to find any specific information on what the
Apache::Registry is, although I've seen references to it everywhere.

I'm running Red Hat 6.0.  If you have any ideas on how I might get this
to work, I'd appreciate your help immensely!

Thanks!
