http404-error under win NT and apache

Post by Peer J. Knoeric » Fri, 19 Feb 1999 04:00:00

Hi there,

hope anybody can help me. i installed Apache WebServer vor Win32 on NT
4.0. I configured it right (I think). Paths to Apache are in the
httpd.conf. It has a IP-Address and hostname as well. The IP-address and
hostname is the same as under WinNT. I can ping that address and
hostname from a DOS-Box. But when I try to access it from a browser I
get the http 404-error - path not found. what is wrong? Does anybody
know that?

Greetings from Germany

Peer

First step would be to post your question to the right newsgroup.

1. Linux apache but Win Nt error messages

I installed apache and PHP on my linux box (MDK 8.0) for development and
testing purposes before installing pages and CGI on a commercial server.

Not surprisingly i have many error messages and i read the logs to trace
errors before ftping the files on the real site.

I understand most of those messages and find them usefull.

But somes of them seem strange to me

How come do i have those window NT seeming messages?

_Also_  I do not have a /home/marcnado/www/scripts/ directory and never
used that path in a script? Where do the '  File does not exist '   error
comes from?

Thank you
