Apache: Configuration for referrer_log/agent_log?

Apache: Configuration for referrer_log/agent_log?

Post by Matthew Darwi » Fri, 25 Oct 1996 04:00:00

In Apache (1.1.1) is there any way to configure the format of the
referrer_log or agent_log?

For example make agent_log do this:
        [14/Oct/1996:12:00:00] Mozilla/2.0 (X11; I; HP-UX A.09.05 9000/735)
and referrer_log do this:
        [14/Oct/1996:12:00:00] http://somesite.or.other -> /

Currently the date/time is not in the log file making it hard to figure
out when the hits happened.

I looked through the Apache docs, but couldn't find anything obvious.
Thanks.

On that topic, is there any thing that needs to be done to enable referer
log? Mine seems to be 0 bytes, and I cannot find anything about it in the
configuration.

You need to uncomment the lines referring to referals in
the Configuration file, and then type Configure, and then type "make"
There are two lines I believe that need to be uncommented.

1. NCSA httpd 1.4.x referrer_log & agent_log stats

Does anyone have a nice little perl script that will give some statistics
on these new log files on NCSA httpd 1.4.x?

Thanks
