Hi Everyone!!
My machine is behind the firewall!!
When I am running Netscape for X, I can have something like:
direct 100.101.55.0 255.255.255.0
in my /etc/socks.conf
so that my browser can make a direct connection to a host on
network 100.101.55, which happens to be running httpd server,
and access web pages. At the same time, I can also access web
servers on the Internet.
How can I accomplish the above for a PC, which is also behind a
firewall?? Is there an equivalent of /etc/socks.conf for PCs, so that
it can make a direct http connection to certain httpd servers
which happen to be on different networks (not on Internet) but
are accessible from our local subnets.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanx in advance.
Regards,
Sudheer.
