Apache 1.2b1 FastCGI support

Apache 1.2b1 FastCGI support

I did a diff of the mod_fastcgi.c that Apache 1.2b1 has and the
mod_fastcgi.c file that is available on www.fastcgi.com for Apache
1.1.1. There seem to be significant differences. Is the one in
1.2b1 better, fixed bugs, etc? I haven't found any documentation
about changes on either www.fastcgi.com or the Apache sites..

Also, anyone using FastCGI? I have some concerns about scaling
with it, and reliability...

All mods had to be slightly rewritten for 1.2 compatibility as there
were some changes in the module interface (well maybe not ALL, but
anything non-trivial).  Your second question I can't answer as I have
never used it.  If you need real serious performance the best thing to
do is rewrite your code as a module itself.  This isn't terribly hard,
unfortunately the docs are pretty rough.  Take a look at some of the
source in the distribution, as well as stuff like mod_php and it will
answer most questions about the interface.
