is there any iformation about the syntax of the .htaccess file.

Apache 1.1.1 don't work with my files.

Check out http://www.apache.org. All the docs for apache are on
there, including the syntax for the .htaccess file.

Note that the opening page for that site includes pointers to many
mirror sites, including several in Europe.
