Apache MIME Question

Apache MIME Question

I can't seem to get Apache 1.2.5 to recognize the Macromedia Flash Mime.
The "mime.types" files has the corrected configuration
"application/x-shockwave-flash   swf" and the server has been restarted
but it sill lists the file as "text/plain".

I'm I missing something basic here?

Thanks

Ken

Are you _sure_ you are modifying the right copy of the mime.types file?

How are you checking to see the content type the server returns?

Yes, you were correct, the error was mine.  I was updating the server I
was logged into (use for checking mail) and updated that, but the actual
server serving out the page was on another machine.  Once it was updated
all was well.

I got in such a mind set that I was doing it correctly that I overlooked
the obvious.  Oh well, at least both servers are not configured.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.
