non-ip based virtual hosting

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if anyone out there knows where i can see a list of the browsers/clients that do support this method of virtual-hosting vs. the browsers/clients that do not support it.  Preferrably, a list with version numbers and such would be desirable.

Thanks in advance and a happy new year to all!

1. Named (non IP) based virtual hosting - Which browsers

Which browsers and versions do and don't support name based virtual hosting?
I've looked thru the FAQs and Dejanews, and only found that it requires a
version of HTTP - but I can't find a list of which browsers and versions use
which version of HTTP.

And ultimately it comes down to what major browsers and versions still in
reasonable use cannot support it, and what total percentage do they account
for?
