I am having a problem with Mosaic:

When a file is transfered from the httpd server to the Mosaic client,
Mosaic does not keep the extension that the file has on the server when
it names the temporary file on the client machine.
(This is not the case with Netscape.)

The problem is that I have a helper application that gets started up
when the file is transferred. The helper ap does defferent things
based on the extension on the name of the temporary file.

Is there any way to configure Mosaic so that it retains the file
name extension?

1. Can't get Mosaic help w Linux Mosaic.

I have been using Mosaic on Linux for many months
to browse the entire universe, thank you very much!

But I have never been able to pull down the help
menu and get anything.  Any attempt to connect to
"www.ncsa.uiuc.edu", where the help is, fails, or at
least takes forever. Are these files on some mirror site?

Any ideas?  Thanks.
