NCSA WWW Server Security Questions

NCSA WWW Server Security Questions

Post by GTILLE » Thu, 29 Jun 1995 04:00:00

I have been asked to provide answers to the following questions and I
though I would post it here and ask the experts.

What would it take to secure web pages to certain network levels, such as
. secured access requiring access and encryption security,
. on-campus access only,
. off-campus but faculty and staff only,
. off-campus but faculty, staff and students,
. then open access?

Thanks in advance...

1. WWW security on NCSA HTTPd 1.5

In a .htaccess file, does NCSA HTTPd 1.5 recognize two AuthUserFile
directives, and look at both for a valid username?

If not, is there another way to use two .htpasswd files for one .htaccess file?

Thanks!
