Apache error_log not updated

Post by Andrew Davi » Tue, 13 Jun 1995 04:00:00

I've got Apache running in an identical configuration to NCSA httpd 1.3
With httpd, I get logs/access_log and logs/error_log. With
apache (running a different binary but all other files the same), the
error_log is not updated although the access_log is.
I don't remember building it with errors disabled, or anything.
Ideas ?

We saw this too, on Sun Solaris 2.4 AND on SunOS 4.1.3.  We
moved to NCSA 1.4, things are working well now.  1.4 "seems"
to have fixed some other hard to replicate problems in which
the server "froze" for periods of time up to several minutes
in length.

1. Apache/error_log:Could not open password file

I have specified absolute home directory for password file in
.htaccess file an also specified user id's in <Limit> section.
I have created password file and it is there, end of absolute
path.

.htaccess file should be ok.

What I do ?
