Proxy - Again.

Proxy - Again.

I am having difficulty with proxy under Apache 1.3.6 and am hoping
someone out there can at least point me in the right direction.  I
would like to setup Apache so that it proxies ONLY for specfic sights.
I do not wish to deny access to anyone, I just want Apache to proxy for
a limited set of remote sights that a user can access by clicking on
links on my page.  I have set up a proxy.pac file however, I have found
that if a user wishes to configure their web browser to use my system
as a "manual" proxy server (and does not explicitly tell his/her
browser to use my proxy.pac file) my site winds up proxying for every
web connection they make.  This is not good.

There has to be a way to tell Apache, "Here's a list of sites, proxy
only for connections to these sites. Otherwise deny the connection."
Is there no way to do this?

Thanks.

There is no configuration directive that implements that.  If there are
a small list of sites to deny, you can use ProxyBlock.  But if you want
a full solution, you'll have to modify mod_proxy (or find someone who
can do it for you).

1. Building Glibc 2.1.2 again, again and again

I finally built my glibc without errors.
And did a "make check" too. BUT where is the result from "make check" ?
It didn't report any errors as far as i could see.
Is there a log of  the outcome somewhere. I've been searching both rthe
source and build-drectories for some summarizing sort of log.
How can i tell if it's ok to do a "make install".

Any hints ?
