Read Email via Web Page (Info Needed)

Hi!

I've been wondering if there is any software available for Apache that
would allow the users on my system to read/write/manage their email like they
can on places like hotmail or rocketmail, etc.?

Any pointers to info/software would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Mike,
It depends on the machine type.  If you are using Apache on Solaris or NT, Cold
Fusion from Allaire will allow you to do so quite easily.  http://www.allaire.com

is another one - it's a Perl script that will connect to a nominated
IMAP server and provide a relatively simple web interface to a user's
mailbox.  Apparently works on Unix (pretty much anything that'll run
Perl 5 I guess) and NT, according to the webpage.

Netscape are apparently working on a similar product, too.

1. Reading Email Via Web Browser?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of an add-on or something for apache which
will let me read my email messages via a web page interface?

I recently saw a friend reading his AOL email via a web browser, and
thought this would be a neat idea to have on my apache linux based web
server.

Thanks,

Jason
