Apache mod_perl & sybperl

Apache mod_perl & sybperl

Post by Jim Learmont » Wed, 12 May 1999 04:00:00

Hi
After a fair bit of effort I have managed to get mod_perl working.
Apache 1.2.6-4    Under RedHat 5.2
I want to Access Sybase ( eventually with some form of persistance ! )

However I have a problem .....
===================
use Sybase::DBlib;
      my $r = Apache->request;
        $r->content_type("text/html");
        $r->send_http_header;

 $r->print ("Hello World<P><P>" );

    $dbh = new Sybase::DBlib 'jiml', 'keswick123';        # It all works
including this line.
    $dbh->dbuse("it");           # It gives a server error if this line is
included !
=====================
Is it possible to use Sybperl and mod_perl ???
If so any examples ??

Thanks Jim Learmonth.

Well I eventually used DBI and DBD::Sybase and got round this.

1. PERL && mod_perl && FreeBSD && Apache

k, I don't know where this falls under or who I should be asking... but
here's my problem.

mod_perl port installed Perl modules in
'/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-freebsd/Apache/' but didn't

have to rebuild the system perl components? the mod_perl? or is there a conf
file somewhere that I cannot find?

could 'mv' everything as well... but I would like to hear some other
opinions or options.

Thanks
