CERN 3.0 as a https proxy?

CERN 3.0 as a https proxy?

Is it possible to use the CERN httpd 3.0 as a https (SSL) proxy?  Are there
mods available for this?

Check the patch list for the CERN server under

1. CERN 3.0 Proxy - Proxy

I'm running two Class-C IP address groups on my internal LAN (Two subnets on
the same wire). I've setup a CERN 3.0 proxy on a server inside of my firewall
in order to translate both IP address groups into an address that gets passed
to my CERN 3.0 proxy on the outside of my firewall. The CERN 3.0 proxy on the
outside then translates to the IP address I want broadcast to the rest of the
world.

When I attempt to connect to a web site out in the world, going through the
two proxy servers, I get the following message.

ERROR 403
Forbidden - by rule

After reviewing to CERN logs for both proxy servers, I've determined the error
message is be generated by the proxy server on the outside of the firewall. Of
course, the message does not give a clue as to which rule is causing the
problem. I don't see anything in my outside proxy server config that would
dis-allow traffic from my inside proxy server.

Has anyone done this before? Can anyone point me in the direction I need to go
in? Can someone shed light on what is wrong?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Veryl
