Hey All,

I try to build a https daemon with apache-1.1.1 and SSLeay-0.6.5.
But I cannot compile apache on my Linux System.

I think all patches and configs are OK, but ...

cc -c -O2 -DSTATUS -L/usr/local/msql/lib -I/usr/local/msql/include
-DLINUX -m486 -DAPACHE_SSL -I/usr/local/ssl/include -L/usr/local/ssl/lib
apache_ssl.c
apache_ssl.c: In function `SSLFixups':
apache_ssl.c:186: `SSL_TXT_NULL_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first use this
function)
apache_ssl.c:186: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
apache_ssl.c:186: for each function it appears in.)
apache_ssl.c:188: `SSL_TXT_RC4_128_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first use this
function)
apache_ssl.c:190: `SSL_TXT_RC4_128_EXPORT40_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first
use this function)
apache_ssl.c:192: `SSL_TXT_RC2_128_CBC_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first use
this function)
apache_ssl.c:194: `SSL_TXT_RC2_128_CBC_EXPORT40_WITH_MD5' undeclared
(first use this function)
apache_ssl.c:196: `SSL_TXT_IDEA_128_CBC_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first use
this function)
apache_ssl.c:198: `SSL_TXT_DES_64_CBC_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first use
this function)
apache_ssl.c:200: `SSL_TXT_DES_64_CBC_WITH_SHA' undeclared (first use
this function)
apache_ssl.c:202: `SSL_TXT_DES_192_EDE3_CBC_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first
use this function)
apache_ssl.c:204: `SSL_TXT_DES_192_EDE3_CBC_WITH_SHA' undeclared (first
use this function)
apache_ssl.c:206: `SSL_TXT_DES_64_CFB64_WITH_MD5_1' undeclared (first
use this function)
apache_ssl.c:208: `SSL_TXT_NULL' undeclared (first use this function)
make: *** [apache_ssl.o] Error 1

any ideas ??? please help

regards

SSLeay-0.6.5 changed the SSL encoding names. If you look in the header
files for SSLeay-0.6.5 you'll see theres a simple change to do across
the apache_ssl file (I think its s/SSL_TXT/SSL2_TXT/) it then works fine.
Alternatively build with SSLeay-0.6.4

>apache_ssl.c:196: `SSL_TXT_IDEA_128_CBC_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first use
>this function)

says...

Quote:>apache_ssl.c:186: `SSL_TXT_NULL_WITH_MD5' undeclared (first use this

in apache_ssl.c change SSL_.. to SSL2_.. (lines 186-209).

1. apache+ssl-1.3.27.1.48_2

Hi,

I install apache+ssl-1.3.27.1.48_2 from ports.

Do a /usr/local/sbin/apachectl configtest with Syntax OK answer,

but when I try to: /usr/local/sbin/apachectl startssl or to
/usr/local/sbin/apachectl start I have the same error:

httpd could not be started

Is there a bug ? I remember the last time I installed Apache with modssl, it
was done in 3 min or so...

TIA
