Netscape Enterprise Server (NES) SSI & Other Concerns

Post by Peter Fle » Sun, 18 Nov 2001 00:03:29

1. We are using NES 3.6.  AFAICT, I can't use SSI with this server. Can
someone confirm.

2. Any mailing lists or other groups to help with support of NES 3.6?

Thanks.

If you mean Server Side Includes, sure you can.

: 2. Any mailing lists or other groups to help with support of NES 3.6?

Dunno, we had a support agreement.

Yes, I meant Server Side Includes which NES calls server-parsed HTML.
Thanks - you got me looking.

Should be under "Content Management" in the Admin GUI, if I
recall correctly. We upgraded to iPlanet 4.x last year, it's
been a while.

If you're editing obj.conf manually, I'd have to sit down and
think about it. :)

1. SSI under Netscape Enterprise server - possible?

Hi all,

I have a website application that relies on SSI (server side includes)
to embed a number of cgi programs into various pages.

This works great under Apache, but I cannot seem to get it to work under
Netscape enterprise server v2.01, it just gives me "server error"
(specifically: "config: for host samantha.vwv.com trying to GET
/test.shtml, handle-processed reports: no way to service request for
/test.shtml")

Anyone have any idea on how to get a cgi program to successfully embed
itself inside a page inside Netscape enterprise server?

What am I doing wrong?

Regards,
Graham
