Novell Netware WWW Servers versus Linux WWW Servers

Hi,
  could you please consider this posting on behalf of a colleague :

        Does any one have experience with Novell Netware  WEB servers, e.g.
        Sitebuilder ?
        Are they stable, do they properly support modern WWW facilities, such as
        CGI, SSI?
        Unless I provide my college with strong reasons in favour of a Linux
        based WWW server, they will switch to a Novell Netware based one, due to
        the lack of Unix expertise within the college.
        I will be most grateful for any advise on this matter.

1. Linux as a WWW Server -versus- NT

Hi everyone!
   Evaluating OS's and Software for a WWW Server. Considering Linux
 due to low-cost and NT due to available off-the-shelf software.
 NT Server and friends is $$$ (And I hate MS anyway)
 Linux is *time* (read: Not a UNIX guru) and that is $$$
   What does a guy need under these OS's (MB, Mhz) to build a small
 business server (read: *Not Industrial strength* say 100-1000 hits a day)
 with some nice HTML pages, CGI to database (Postgres?) transactions.

 Any help/insight in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
